Slieve Donard stands tall at 2796 feet and together with the neighbouring peak of Slieve Commedagh (2515 feet) it dominates the coastal skyline of Newcastle and Mourne. On Saturday 27th August 67 runners including our own Declan Morgan assembled to tackle both peaks. Declan has made frequent appearances on the mountain racing circuit this year and this time out completed another very tough course in a time of 1hr 36 minutes. This placed him a respectable 39th out of the 67 finishers.
