Jane and Robbie medal in Glasgow

Tue 6 March 2012--admin

Just a couple of City of Lisburn athletes made the trip over to the Scottish U14 and U16 indoor championships yesterday. However, both Jane Anderson and Robbie Marrs came home with something to show for their efforts after some good performances in the hurdles in the Kelvin Hall, Glasgow.

Jane improved through her 60m hurdles heat, semi and final to record 9.34s. This gave her a well-deserved bronze and maintained her excellent record at these championships.

Robbie had a busy day, making the U14 60m flat final where he was 6th in 8.62s although he had an 8.42s in his semi. He also just missed out on a place on the 200m final. However his best performance was in the 60m hurdles where he recorded 10.21s for the silver medal.

Well done to both athletes for their good performances and on representing the club so well in Scotland.
