Jonny, Zoe and Maddy for London mini-marathon

A trip with the N.Ireland team to the London Mini-Marathon has become one of the most coveted selections for local young athletes. Jonathan Whan, Zoe Carruthers and Madison Bowyer are all celebrating their call-ups for next month’s event which will see the city of Lisburn athletes compete over the last three miles of the famous marathon route, finishing in the Mall. All three have been picked based on their form and consistency in endurance events this winter.
This is one of the most prestigious and high profile events on the athletics calendar and we congratulate the trio and wish them well for the big day when we might even see them on TV!
