City of Lisburn AC’s Amy Foster ran her second fastest ever time in Orlando at the weekend where her 11.50 secs time in the 100 metres is a European B qualification mark and only 0.01 secs outside the NI record which she equalled last year.

The 23 year old also recorded her 4th best time of 11.53 secs in the final which had a nil wind reading. This latest performance by the World University Games 200 metres finallist further confirms her excellent early season form as shown by a wind assisted 11.48 secs time set in Florida a week ago. she also ran the B time last year (11.52) in Switzerland.

Ireland’s top sprinter now has her sights firmly set on the A standard for the European Championships in Helinski in a month’s time. Her next race will be in Clermont, Florida this weekend.
