Congratulations to the 11 City of Lisburn AC athletes selected to represent Ulster Schools at this year’s Inter-Provincial fixture at Santry, Dublin on 23 June.

Of the boys, Aaron Dalzell was unfortunate to be overlooked for the trip to the UK School Games but cemented his place here for 100m/200m and 4x100m with some superb runs at the Ulster and Irish Schools. Andrew Hutchinson has been selected at high jump, with Michael Logan (discus) and Ronan Jenkinson (javelin) being called up for their first Ulster vests. Christian Robinson has been selected at both long and triple jumps while Jonathan Hill will be delighted with his selection for the triple jump.

For the girls Roseanna McGuckian, although still a Junior in school age-groups has deservedly been selected for both sprints and 4x100m relay. Another Junior Megan Marrs has been selected at high jump along with Anna McIlmoyle. Erin Quinn will compete in the 300m and 4x300m relay while Aoibhin McManus goes at long jump again after competing in this fixture last year.

City of Lisburn athletes named amongst the reserves include Josh Jordan (hammer), Robyn Kelly (pole vault), Jessica McMaster (long and triple jumps) and Jane Anderson (80m Hurdles).

Congratulations to all those named above on their selection for representative honours and good luck to them in the match.
