Jonny at Vic Park / Portrush parkrun launched

On a week that Northern Ireland’s latest parkrun event was launched in Portrush, Jonny McWhinney was the only City of Lisburn athlete to record a performance. Jonny made his first parkrun appearance in many months with a 26:33 run at Victoria Park where he was 90th from a field of 145.
Lisburn parkrunners who find themselves on the North Coast any weekend will be able to take part in the newest parkrun. It starts on the Portrush East Strand at 9.30am heading to White Rocks and back and has the unique distinction of being the only parkrun on the planet to be run entirely on sand!
Reports are eagerly awaited from the first City of Lisburn parkrunner to tackle the new course.
