Last saturday saw the annual Joe Seely 10k take place around the Lagan embankment and twisting route through Ormeau Park. Although conditions were cool and windy City of Lisburn athletes were out in force producing excellent times. First in for Lisburn was Declan Morgan in the M35 category with a new PB of 39:00mins. Judith Lowry FO and coach Dave Lonnen M45 finished together in 40:23 with Paul McCullagh a little bit futher behind, finishing with a PB in 40:57 in the M50 category. Diane Watson F40 was next in just outside her PB in 43:08 aiming to break the 43min barrier next time out. Grainne Keenan F40 enjoyed her outing and was close to her PB with a time 46:36, meanwhile Orla Smyth FO who had accompanied Grainne tailed off after 4miles and was disappointed with her finishing time 47:23. Finally, Alison Gibson F50 had a good run finishing with a time of 48:34.
