Cross country at Dromore

At the local Cross Country event in Dromore Co. Down, the athletes had to contend with a steep hilly course dotted with “cow pats” and very heavy conditions underfoot.
Rebecca Wallace was victorious in the under 11’s with a fine win and finishing 2nd overall in the mixed race. Another victory for a Lisburn athlete in the Boy’s U13 saw Sean Terek lead the way home to the finish in fine style. The Boy’s under 15 Matthew Neill finished with a great run in 6th. The girls under 15 saw Rebecca Douglas loose a shoe early on, but continued for a further two miles and incredibly finished in 2nd position followed closely by Meave Hoyt in a brilliant 3rd.
