Mel Wins the Inaugural Wallace Parkrun

On Saturday 4th March saw the launch of the Wallace Parkrun in which Melanie Minshull was the first lady home in 22m46s. This first race, a 5000m circuit of Wallace Park, was run in perfect conditions. Also, figuring in the race after a long layoff from injury was Andrew Watson, who was well pleased with his 24m23s outing after a long spell of no running.
Last Saturday’s run we had Alison Gibson in her first out on this new course along with Noel Branagh. Alison finished 3rd in her category in 23m57s affine run and Noel who is preparing for the forthcoming Lisburn Triathlon finished a few places behind in 24m30s.
