Jimmy’s 10K at Downpaatrick

Great results from three of Lisburn distance runners on Sunday at Jimmy’s 10K in Downpatrick. A very large field of 650 plus runners took part in this prestigious event over a hilly course. First home for City of Lisburn was Declan Morgan M35, who finished in 66th position comfortably producing a time of 39m52s. Next in was Diane Watson, in 114th place and second in the F40 category with a time of 42m38s. This was a Personal Best for Diane who commented that she could have gone faster after misjudging the pace. Finally, with another PB was Melanie Minshull in 45m09s, winning the F45 category. Great run Mel, considering having completed a heavy hill session the previous day in BarnettsPark.
