A successful outing for Dave Lonnen at the Fairhill 5 Mile road race in Ballymena, Wednesday 4^th June. Dave finished first in the O45 category and eleventh overall in a time of 28m47s on the very fast flat course.

On Saturday 9^th June we had two runners competing in the Queens Park Run, with Gerard Donnelly finishing in 4^th in a time of 17m27s and Grianne Keenan in 12^th in 23m54.

Later on, in the Larne Half Marathon in very hot conditions Kelly Neely in her first run over this distance won the race in a great time 1h27m23s. Paul McCullagh (M50)completed in 118^th place in 1h34m18s with Christine Quinn (FO) closely behind in 121^st in 1h34m21s and hot on her heals finishing fast with a new PB Diane Watson 127^th place in 1h34m47s.

The Club’s busy weekend concluded with men’s captain Declan Morgan competing in the gruelling Mourne Mountain Challenge relay. I believe his team finished sixth with the extremely hot arduous and dehydrating conditions taking their toll on the runners.
