Lisburn athletes spread over 3 Parkruns

At Wallace Park, Diane Watson finished first in her category and eight overall with a new PB of 20m16s. Meanwhile Kelly Neely, Kevin McVeigh and Mel Minshull took part in the OrmeauPark event. Kelly was first female home with a PB 18m24s. Kevin finished just seven seconds outside his best in 19m51s. Mel had storming run finishing second in her category creating a new PB with a time of 20m49s.

The clubs biggest turnout was at the Queens Parkrun with Stephen Morris, Gerrard Donnelly, Michael McLarnon, Paul McCullough and regular Grainne Keenan. Stephen finishing first in his age category and second overall in a new PB of 17m21s, while Gerrard had another great run in this event and was only nine seconds outside his PB clocking 18m39s. One place behind and first time over the Queens course Michael finished in a time of 18m49s with Paul close on his heels timed at 18m52. Grainne, with 42 runs completed over this course and returning from injury finally broke her PB created in March 2012 in a new time 22m17s. Well done all, keep those targets tumbling down.
