Irish Age Groups, Antrim

The Irish Age Groups were held at Antrim Stadium for the first time,on the 5/6 July. The weather was damp punctuated with heavy showers on both days.
City of Lisburn had one winner in Rachael Gibson who won the 800m
U18 title after a superbly judged performance. Rachael took the lead with 200m left and opened a small gap,with about 80m left Ailish Brennan from St Abbans drew alongside and both sprinted hard for the line,Rachael pulled away just before the finish to win in 2.16.81.
Rachael has medalled in all championship races this season ,
5 medals in seven weeks.

Shannon Brush was 4th in long jump jumping over 5m again .
Shannon was also 7th in the 300m final.
Karyn Dumigan was 4th in the 300m final.
