It was a successful weekend for City Of Lisburn athletes at the Woodies DIY Championships. Kelly McNeice picked up two medals over 800m and 1500m at the Irish National Championships at the weekend.
Kelly looked to be sprinting to victory in the 800m, however a final surge from Roseanne Galligan saw her snatch gold. Two Hours later Kelly ran creditably to take another silver behind Berlin bound Deirdre Byrne. Rachel Gibson finished 14th in 4m48.8
Brendan Murphy narrowly missed out on a medal in the 400mhurdles when finishing fourth in 54.30. Richard Murphy finished 7th in the hammer with a best throw of 46.11.
Linzi Herron had two good results in the jumps, finishing 5th in the Long Jump with 5m62 and missing out on a medal in the high jump on countback with a best jump of 1m70 for fourth.
