CoLAC achieves Clubmark status

Following a recent assessment after some very hard work by a number of people within the club, City of Lisburn AC has become the first N.Ireland athletics club to achieve “Clubmark” status. This is a national cross sports accreditation scheme for clubs with youth sections. It is built around a set of core criteria which ensure that accredited clubs operate to a set of consistent, accepted and adopted minimum operating standards.

Clubmark is about the development of clubs which encourage young people to take up sport, improve their talents and initiate and maintain life-long participation in the sport. Achieving accredited Clubmark status ensures that City of Lisburn AC is nationally recognised as providing a “safe, effective and child friendly” club environment.
