City of Lisburn had four athletes competing at the Waterworks in North Belfast this morning, with a couple taking advantage of the chance for their first brisk run since the thaw to take age-category wins or set PB’s.
Declan Morgan was first home of the Lisburn squad in 20 mins exactly which was just shy of his PB and which left him 15th overall but 3rd M30-34. Peter Shaw had a fine Parkrun debut with his 21:05 placing him 1st M45-49 and 22nd overall. Jonny McWhinney’s 21:14 saw him beat his Parkrun PB by 21 seconds and gave him a lifetime 5k PB by 2 seconds as he finished 4th M35-39 and 24th overall.
Orla Smyth was our sole female representative and her 23:04 which was within 10 secs of her best Parkrun time left her 6th lady and 2nd in her age-category. 88 runners completed the run this week.
