Sean and Jonny at Parkrun

Sean McGurnaghan and Jonny McWhinney ensured City of Lisburn AC were represented at the inaugural Belfast Parkrun 5k yesterday at the Waterworks Park, Antrim Road. 108 runners were present and they enjoyed perfect conditions on a beautiful autumn morning. The course took in just over two laps of the park which was a pleasant, fast route around the lakes on a mostly totally flat course.
Sean’s 21:22 time saw him finish 17th overall and an impressive 3rd M45, while Jonny’s 21:35 placed him 19th overall and 5th M35 male. Overall the event was very successful and is on every Saturday morning at the same time of 9.30am. These runs are free to enter. All that is required is registration in advance via the Parkrun website.
