Following her remarkable silver medal winning performance at the World Junior Championships this summer when she broke the Irish Junior and N. Ireland senior 1500m records, Lisburn’s Ciara Mageean has been nominated as a “Rising Star” by European Athletics!
To make this shortlist is wonderful for Ciara and worthy recognition for her silver in Canada at the World Juniors where middle and long distance track medals were rare for the Europeans in the face of customary African strength.
