Many young City of Lisburn members were participating last week in the Star:Track athletics scheme at the Mary Peters Track, enjoying trying their hand at a wide range of track and field activities.
The event finished with a few competitions where Lisburn successes included Olivia Neill winning the Long Jump, 200m and 400M in the 8-9 age group. In the same age-group Ben Ritchie won the 200m and 400m double.
In the 10-11’s Chris Larmour won the 200m and 400m while Matthew Neill won the Long Jump. In the oldest 12-15 category Rebecca Harvey won the 800m in 2m 34s, with Luke Fitzhenry winning the boys race in 2m 26s. Ben Fisher won the 200m and Long Jump to round off a successful and enjoyable few days for all the young Lisburn athletes who participated.
