PB for Sharon at parkrun 5km

Sharon Kelly ensured City of Lisburn AC were represented at the Waterworks event 1st birthday yesterday morning, with the run being won appropriately by event promoter Matt Shields of North Belfast Harriers. The anniversary was no doubt a factor in the very large turn-out of 163 runners. Sharon had a great run, taking over 20 seconds off her PB when recording a fine 23:31. This placed her 49th overall but 6th woman and 1st in her age category! Congratulations to Sharon who headed from the Waterworks over to Barnetts Park to watch son Enda race in the age-group cross-country championships.
Over at the Victoria Park event they were celebrating their six-month anniversary and saw a good turn-out of their own with 93 runners. Jonny McWhinney continued his return to fitness with a 23:42 run to finish 47th overall and 5th M40-44.
