Gr8 Dundrum Run & Belfast Victoria Parkrun 5k

Declan Morgan is a prolific racer these days and he made another trip to South Down to take part in today’s Gr8 Dundrum Run. The race is promoted by Murlough AC over a challenging but picturesque 8 mile course on road, trail, boardwalk and beach and it has quickly established itself as a very popular event.
Declan’s recent good form continued with a finishing position of 36th out of some 600 athletes. He completed the route in 57:32, with the actual distance 8.25 miles according to Declan’s Garmin.
Meanwhile back in Belfast, Alison Gibson and Steve Cooke put in an appearance at the Victoria Park 5k parkrun. Alison was 4th lady overall in 23:24 which was just two seconds outside her PB. This good run placed her first in her age-category. Steve was 52nd overall in 24:53. This placed him 5th M45-49. The event saw 83 runners toe the line this morning.
