Ciara 5th in Morocco

Well done to Ciara Mageean who finished a highly respectable 5th in the 1500m against a quality senior field at an international meet in the city of Tangier in northern Morocco at the weekend. Since she reduced her NI senior record to 4:07 this season she can now access top class global meets and she certainly justified her invitation here, beating many senior international athletes with faster PB’s.
This will have all have been great experience for Ciara as she builds up to London 2012, racing here for example against the current senior world champion Jennifer Simpson of the USA.
