Amy Foster was the most successful City of Lisburn athlete at the Irish Senior champs at Santry at the weekend, recording a fine sprint double in 11.69 / 23.74s. Ciara Mageean went out very hard in the 800m but lost balance in her drive for the line in the latter stages and was just pipped for the title as she fell over the line in 2:06.85. However she bounced back with a mature run in the 1500m, winning a well-controlled race in 4:16.35.

Also competing was Karyn Dumigan who jumped 5.03m in the long jump which is a PB off her new take-off leg for this season! Anna McIlmoyle was 9th in the high jump in 1.55m.

Brendan Murphy had a break-through run in the 400m hurdles, taking a full second off his previous best time with a run of 53.05s which placed him 5th.
