Aoibhin defends Irish title at Tullamore

After a selection of silver and bronzes yesterday for the young Lisburn squad at the Irish Juvenile championships, some were wondering if the elusive gold was ever going to come. But then who else but the reliable Aoibhin McManus stepped forward to deliver the goods when it counted and jump within 2cms of her PB to retain her Irish outdoors Long Jump title!
Aoibhin has had a great season including selection for the Inter-Pros, the UK School Games and now another title with her 5.34m jump here winning U16 gold.
Congratulations Aoibhin on another superb performance – All-Ireland champion again!
