Lisburn athletes in NI Senior 2011 Indoor rankings

With the indoor season wrapped up for the City of Lisburn athletes, a glance at the Power of 10 rankings shows many Lisburn athletes featuring strongly in the local lists.

In the 60m Laura McBurney’s 7.97s in the Odyssey sees her rank 3rd in Northen Ireland, ahead of two Lisburn U15’s who make the senior  “Top 10” – Roseanna McGuckian in 9th and  Erin Quinn in 10th.  In the 1500m Ciara Mageean obviously tops the list although Rachel Gibson’s run at the Odyssey sees her ranked 3rd NI senior. Libby Rose as ever appears across a range of events in track and field, ranking 3rd in the 60m Hurdles.

The long jump seems to be the club’s best event in terms of depth with no less than 5 athletes in the Senior Top 10! Linzi Herron is 3rd with 5.51m, Roseanna McGuckian’s first 5 metre jump sees her ranked 5th with Libby, Aoibhin McManus and Erin Quinn also featuring.

In the high jump Anna McIlmoyle’s indoor PB of 1.57m leaves her 2nd best on the senior lists with Jane Anderson in 5th with 1.50. Libby’s gold medal throw of 9.01m at Magherafelt ranks her 2nd best senior.

Brendan Murphy ranks no 2 in the 400m with his Odyssey performance.  James Megarity is ranked no 3 in the shot after his PB at the UUJ open meet and Adam Hill’s 1.75m when winning gold in the age-group championships in Magherafelt ranks him no. 5 senior.
