Maiden Parkrun victory for Orla

Orla Smyth had a super run at the Waterworks 5k this morning, smashing her previous best by almost a minute to record 21:46. This performance gave her outright victory over the 60 other women running the event – her first overall win.
Peter Shaw placed 3rd in his M45-49 age-group with 21:32. This placed him 23rd overall from a field of 173 runners today. The revised Lisburn merit table after Orla’s big improvement now looks like this;
