Ciara 2nd in Armagh Int’l 3k

Ciara Mageean made a rare outing on the roads last night at the Armagh International Road Race event which as usual saw a high class international field lap the mall in Armagh City Centre. In the Senior Women’s 3k she was 2nd in 9:31, some 9 seconds behind Clare Gibson of Scotland who is a former Scottish 800m champion with a speedy 2:01 PB for the two laps.
This good performance was part of Ciara’s build-up to the Irish Senior Indoor Champs next weekend at the Odyssey where she will be seeking qualification for the European Indoor champs in Paris in March.
